Triangulated Light
Taken at the Memorial Tower - Coventry on the way back from a trip down town.

As we walked through the park in the dusk, we noticed the light rings around the tower.

With the aid of a friend whose hands are shown here we took this shot.

Cycling back from work has allowed me to come across various scenery and beautiful trees backdropped by the city lights.

This was a follow up from <a href="http://500px.com/photo/5507000">Icarus</a> - being the beautiful season of summer the trees no longer looked bare.

Found that the ISO may of been too high, causing the grain in the image - but in the end gave it a yesteryear feeling to it.

Post-processing involved slight local exposure changes and a purple/brown hue split tone filter.

<i>Print/digital download version has a higher vertical height of x3672 compared to the original x2736 due to 500px resolution restrictions.</i>

Macchiato Macro
One of the first proper macro shots I've taken, which turned out surprisingly detailed.

Taken on an outing to Starbucks using a Canon S90.

Vivitar I
Decided to rummage through my Dad's old photography messenger bag, consisting of various Pentax, Tamron, Hoya and film boxes. Despite being mainly a holder for cardboard rather than photography tools I did however I come across a lone Vivitar lens and I bunch of empty film rolls.

I decided to improvise and create some weird fusion of a lens out of an old Vivitar and various other bits and pieces, however it didn't quite work to the norm. However together with using the frankenstein of a lens and the rest of the bits and pieces in the bag consisting a few boxes and films rolls, I instead used as props in order to allow me to further practice my skill of manual focusing rather than relying on the S90s macro pre-set.

With the frankenstein lens I was also able to practice free lensing, a unusual technique which also required the use of manual focusing - more practice I guess.

EDIT: I later found out that the <i>Vivitar</i> wasn't even a standard lens, but instead an auto focus telescopic converter. Feel somewhat foolish..

Papier d'Art
A little macro shot of a swan origami that one of my cousins made.

Messing around with artificial lighting and make shift backdrop with white paper.

Colours came out quite nicely in this one in my opinion and was the first time I shot in a RAW format which benefit me in the post processing & the light room.

Frontier
Taken using a Canon S90 outside my home in Coventry.

Decided to test out the 3 burst feature at different exposures and ISOs and this one came out the best.

Named the image "Frontier" due to the way the clouds protrude in a forwardly direction.

Post processing was done in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, with slight local exposure & contrast changes and the addition of a cross process filter.

Staring
Taken using a Canon S90 whilst practising the technique of using the <b>Av</b> function on the camera to manipulate the depth of field by altering the aperture.

This was more of a macro/perspective shot of a Canon S9IS Powershot than anything else, with a brightly lit background as a fault of not changing the ISO however I found the result to be quite pleasing after post processing and a slight change of exposure.

In Tune
Taken using a Canon S90 whilst practising the technique of using the <b>Av</b> function on the camera to manipulate the depth of field by altering the aperture/f number to f/2.8

This one was probably the most successful shot out of the set of photos I took during the course of altering the apertures giving a decent sense of depth as well as perspective.

The subject at hand was my guitar - a Fender Squire Stratocaster.

Volumize
Taken using a Canon S90 whilst practising the technique of using the function Av on the camera to manipulate the depth of field by altering the aperture.

Like <a href="http://500px.com/photo/6438449"><i>In Tune</i></a> I found this shot to be another of the more successful images when considering depth of field. With the volume switch being clearly in focus whilst the rest of the image is aptly blurred giving a sense of depth, though still far from perfect.<br><br>Martin Fu 2012 ©
Consero
Taken using a Canon S90 whilst practising the technique of using the <b>Av</b> function on the camera to manipulate the depth of field.

In my opinion this one came out quite well and gave a nice vibe and sharpness to the subject in the photo.

The subject at hand was my guitar - a Fender Squire Stratocaster.

Watch As The World Goes By
"Blues skies & livid lives"

Taken on a stroll to the city centre in the Memorial Park Coventry.

Saw two birds watching the busy life go by and decided to capture the moment, along with the summery blue gradient sky which you don't often get in the UK.

Snow Speed
Located on Kenilworth Road, required some improvisation of removing the snow covered traffic switch which was covered by a light box overhead to provide a cover/archaic lens hood to protect both the camera and lens.

One of the few images that came out quite clearly with snow fall being apparent.

Taken on the way back from work after obvious heavy snowfall, using a Canon S90, with an ISO of 80, 13 second shutter speed and adjusted white balance of -2.

Edited using Photoshop CS5 applying grey scale filters and local exposure/saturation changes.

Vehicle Waveform
Taken spontaneously during a walk home down the A45 dual-carriage way. Long exposure technique, with the cars stopping before resuming to travel at high speeds giving the effect shown here.

Taken with a Canon S90 with a 15s shutter speed, ISO of 100 and aperture set to 8.

Edited with Photoshop CS5 using a grey scale filter, leaving some areas coloured and then applying a tint filter on top .

Inspired by EA's FPS franchse Battlefield 3 as seen in their artwork.
